100% Hemp Operations – Proprietary Genetics – Large-Scale Farming – Greenhouse Programs
Said plainly, high-quality CBD comes from high-quality genetics and seeds. Cannabis plants grown in the wild actually contain little CBD, if at all. Without proper breeding, it is very difficult to produce high-CBD yielding hemp. Our award-winning Chief Agronomist and Geneticist, John Sutton, and his dedicated team have meticulously bred our proprietary hemp strains to create fully feminized seeds that produce high CBD concentration hemp plants that are the finest in the industry.
Kadenwood BioSciences operates in multiple growing regions across the United States. We understand that any interruption in the CBD supply chain can create serious challenges to business. That’s why we’ve developed a wide matrix of scalable acreage and enclosed greenhouses across the country. This allows us to scale quickly, as well as researching new farming techniques and technologies, all without jeopardizing quality and reliability.
We own proprietary, award-winning genetics, allowing us to plant high-yielding, predictable and reliable crops at scale.
Our large square footage and regional footprints allow flexibility in the operations of our generic hemp, boutique flower, and seed programs.
With access to more than 14,000 acres and proprietary SOPs for growing our own genetics, we are able to flex as the market demands and ensure reliable biomass supply.
Biomass is of little value if it isn’t quickly and properly dried, cured, milled, and stored. We are set up to manage this often-overlooked segment of the supply chain across the country.
Processing from biomass to crude is a necessary intermediary step to developing CBD bulk formats.
Do you know where your CBD comes from? We know where ours comes from, has been, and is going because we are vertically integrated. At no point in the production process does the biomass or derived bulk CBD exit our system. This is the lynchpin of our chain of custody—a track-and-trace model. By lot code and batch, we can tell you precisely where each product comes from at any point in our pipeline and provide associated testing and reporting all the way to verify the seed to final product.
First, we test the soil. A hemp plant will draw everything it needs from the ground, along with things it doesn’t, like heavy metals and residual pesticides.
We also test the water to ensure optimal plant health. A plant under duress can “go hot” or even become hermaphroditic which can produce unwanted pollinated males or wild seed, and disrupt the downstream processes.
Then, we test our seeds, genetics, and strains, verifying germination rates and days to maturation, among other things.
During growing we test the plant for CBD content at pre-harvest and post-harvest to ensure the crop has not gone “hot”, meaning it is in compliance of regulated THC levels, and again lacks the presence of heavy metals and pesticides.
Finally, at the processing level we test all extracted CBD products with multiple third-party facilities.
